EXCLUSIVE MAY RACES EXPERIENCE

May Races is always a busy time for The Chester Grosvenor and Spa and this year we are giving racegoers the VIP treatment with reserved tables and hostess service.   This is about creating a lovely environment in which racegoers can mingle and chat without having to spend ages queuing at the bar or squeezing past crowds of people.  

Our stylish La Brasserie bar and The Arkle Bar and Lounge will be the perfect place to discuss the runners and riders over your favourite tipple.   There will be live background entertainment and your choice of drinks waiting for you at your table in La Brasserie.   For just £25 per person your party will enjoy a reserved table with £15 put towards your pre-ordered drinks.

  In The Arkle Bar and Lounge tables can be reserved for £35 per person which includes canapés and £15 towards your pre-ordered drinks.

The award-winning La Brasserie will be serving a three course lunch for £40 per person on Wednesday and Friday and for £45 per person on Thursday.  Hungry racegoers will be able to toast their lucky streak or commiserate over their run of bad luck during a three course dinner for £55 per person.  

If you prefer eating in the Michelin-starred ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’ restaurant you can enjoy a two course lunch for £45 per person or a three course lunch for £55 per person.  A three course a la carte dinner is £69 per person or the eight course tasting menu costs £80 per person.                

A pass system will be in place after racing which will only allow hotel residents, dinner guests and post racing drinks guests into the hotel. This is to maintain the elegant and uncrowded atmosphere for racegoers.   Passes will be issued in advance and are available from reservations on 01244 895618 or via email restaurants@chestergrosvenor.com.  

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is within easy walking distance of the racecourse and is always a favourite for people during May Races.   Racegoers can enjoy drinks and lunch before their afternoon of racing fun begins, and it’s the perfect spot to celebrate winnings or swap betting tips after the races with dinner in our restaurants.
