at The Chester Grosvenor
Situated on the first floor, The Gallery is a space where guests can admire the magnificent Georgian chandelier, paintings and the grandeur of the original main staircase whilst enjoying afternoon tea, a pot of coffee or simply watching people pass by.
The chandelier, bought from London's Junior Carlton Club in 1966 for £15,000, has 28,000 pieces of crystal and weighs half a tonne. Since its arrival it has become a focal point of the hotel and offers the perfect photo opportunity!
Each of the paintings which hang on the walls of The Gallery are owned by the family of The Duke of Westminster. 'Doncaster', the painting of the horse which overlooks the space was painted in 1875 by British artist, Charles Augustus Henry Lutyens.
