We invited Year 6 pupils from Woodfall Primary School to learn about ‘The Art of Table Manners’ at our iconic Michelin-starred restaurant, Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor.Pupils were introduced to fine dining table etiquette through a series of informative talks from our General Manager, Richard Grove, Manager of Restaurant and Bars, Jaime McCormack and etiquette expert, Merryn Myatt – known for her TV and radio appearances.
The children gained a rare glimpse into the inner-workings of Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, recently awarded a Michelin star for the 29th consecutive year, and even had the opportunity to sample some luxurious canapés. Discussion topics ranged from cutlery and glassware usage to service style and table manners.
Jaime McCormack, Manager of Restaurant and Bars, comments: “We pride ourselves on making every guest feel special and cultivating an environment which encourages conversation, relaxation and simply the enjoyment of good food. It was fantastic to welcome Woodfall Primary School to the hotel and offer them an insight into fine dining and table etiquette. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and we hope it inspired some budding hospitality stars!”
