We’ve recently appointed a fantastic new general manager, Steve Ogden, to help propel our hotel to further success.

Hotel and Spa in Chester | Introducing Steve Ogden

The Chester Grosvenor, have recently welcomed the talents of Steve Ogden to the dedicated team at our hotel and spa in Chester. 

Over the past 27 years, Steve has amassed extensive experience in management roles across a range of high-end hotels, such as the Cottons Hotel and Spa, Lion Quays Hotel and Spa, Pennyhill Park and many more. 

At The Chester Grosvenor Hotel, Steve will be responsible for maintaining our status as the only five-star hotel and spa in Chester, working alongside our staff to provide outstanding service.

In his new role, Steve will work closely with our award-winning chef, Elliot Hill, to continue to grow our reputation as an exceptional refined dining venue with our Arkle restaurant, as well as oversee the successful operation of our two AA Rosette La Brasserie and holistic and contemporary boutique spa.

The change in management is due to previous General Manager, Richard Grove being promoted internally by Bespoke Hotels, UK’s largest hotel group, to become Chief Operating Officer, allowing Steve to move into the role. 

Steve said: “Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work at some of the UK’s best hotels; however, I can honestly say that The Chester Grosvenor has a period charm that you simply can’t replicate.

“I am very lucky to inherit such a talented team at the hotel, and I can’t wait to work alongside them to ensure we continue to provide the same high standard of service the hotel’s reputation was built upon.”
