Key Responsibilities

Our Demi Chef de Partie will work under the leadership of the Chef de Partie within La Brasserie kitchen. You will be nurtured to develop your skills working on a variety of sections within a professional environment. With excellent time management and communication skills you will be in tune with other sections, delivering your element of a dish to produce food that is of 2 AA Rosette standard.

Desirable Candidate

Key Responsibilities

Full time opportunities available. In the confident and efficient handling of orders and requests, you will partake in the seamless running of the 2 AA Rosette restaurant and delivery of a 5 Red Star service. Liaising with the kitchen and bar teams, you will be an expert in conveying menu information to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the La Brasserie team, the Host / Hostess will charismatically meet and greet all who enter our 2AA Rosette restaurant.  You will be responsible for administration tasks associated with bookings, menu planning and payments along with ensuring that a seamless service is delivered.  We are seeking a team player who can anticipate service requirements and assist the team with a variety of ad hoc duties when necessary.

Desirable Candidate

This is the perfect role for someone with a bright personality and who is highly organised yet thrives on variety within a busy and social environment.  You will be the eyes and ears of our team, always striving to connect with our guests, anticipate and correct gaps in service and act as a resourceful thinker.  Experience with ResDiary is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Part time opportunities are available for existing or aspiring Waiters, Waitresses and Bar Staff within our opulent meetings, events and private dining settings. Reporting to the Meetings and Events management team, you will assist in the set-up of events and delivery of food and beverage services to a high standard. Days and hours of work depend on the scheduling of events with the additional opportunity to work in other restaurants within the hotel.

Desirable Candidate

We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, immaculate personal presentation and a positive, outgoing personality. You'll be a terrific team player with a commitment to giving our guests a memorable experience. Previous experience would be helpful, however full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

Our Demi Pastry Chef de  Partie will work under the direction of the Head Chefs of Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, La Brasserie and Meetings and Events. You will assist for all desserts produced by the pastry team and artisan breads produced by the bakery. 

Desirable Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar establishment previously as Demi Chef de Partie. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills,thrive in a busy working environment and have the ability to work on own initiative and calmly when under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit an experienced, knowledgeable full time bartender for our La Brasserie Champagne and Cocktail Bar. La Brasserie is the real hub of The Chester Grosvenor and requires someone with experience working in a high volume operation.

You will aid in the seamless running of the bar and restaurant by providing a cheerful, confident and efficient service to our guests, with an observant eye for detail. We anticipate that you will have previously worked in a cocktail bar environment. You should possess a sound working knowledge on cocktails, wines and spirits with the ability to upsell and make suitable recommendations to guests. The position includes a range shift patterns including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You must be flawlessly detailed in your presentation and delivery, with the ability to deputise and take responsibility for day to day operations. Our ideal candidate will have strong customer service values, exceptional people management skills and a high degree of accuracy.

You must have a background in exceptional service with a minimum of a year’s experience in a Restaurant Managers position in a quality establishment. You will be confident in managing staff within the hospitality sector and have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor throughout the dining experience. You will have the ability to be a positive leader and to inspire your team. You must demonstrate proven communication skills and the ability to multi task and seek creative solutions.

Commis Chef Apprenticeship

To ensure that we have dedicated apprentices that are the stars of the future, each apprentice that is short listed will be interviewed and selected by Simon personally to join his team.

You will have the chance to earn while you learn alongside talented and innovative chefs.

The Commis Chef Apprenticeship is open to anyone from school leavers to those simply looking for a change in career. No previous experience is necessary, all we ask is for lots of enthusiasm, team spirit and the drive to succeed!

The length of the programme is 15 to 18 months.Learners have achieved level one or two in maths and English or must attend extra support to enable successful completion of the course, working towards a pass or distinction grading.

A range of skills and behaviours will be developed throughout the programme, using a variety of approaches both in and out of the kitchen environment.

Culinary skills– craft preparation, cooking skills and techniques to prepare, produce and present dishes and menu items in line with the business requirements, your journey will enable you to build the foundations of knowledge and flourish.

Food Safety –this is of paramount importance! You will understand all food safety requirements and the law regarding this within the kitchen. You will expand your knowledge with the importance of allergens, safe systems of work and safe work practices.

Menus– working with some of the finest ingredients and local produce available, you will quickly learn how seasonality fits into availability, quality and price of ingredients.

Your bespoke training

-Offering a diverse and comprehensive apprenticeship, you will work 5 days across 7 within either the La Brasserie, Meetings & Events, Simon Radley or Pastry Kitchen.

-20% of your qualification will take place being mentored, shadowing and learning.

-Online profiles are set up to enable you to add photographs of your work, update your workbooks and build your portfolio as a commis chef at the same time as working towards completing your apprenticeship.

-Along your journey you will be undertaking professional discussions, multiple choice tests and culinary and practical observations to help you stay on track, with the final assessment called ‘ EPA’ which we will ensure you are competent and confident to complete.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join the 2 AA Rosette, La Brasserie team . The captivating new design showcases our contemporary venue within the heart of The Chester Grosvenor.

With 80 individually designed bedrooms and suites, a renowned Michelin starred restaurant, the vibrant La Brasserie, boutique spa and extensive meetings and events space, our team is proud to continue the Grosvenor’s long tradition for impeccable service and the closest attention to every detail.

Open seven days a week from breakfast through to after dinner liqueurs, La Brasserie faces onto busy Eastgate Street with an atmosphere to match. Serving a variety of eating experiences including the eclectic a la carte menu, early dining and casual dining menus , La Brasserie really is the place to be!

Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you’ll be charismatic and enthusiastic, exceptionally well groomed, smooth and discreet yet with the sparkling personality to engage well with our guests and the hotel team. We’re looking for superb customer service skills and the confidence to motivate and nurture the restaurant team.

A sound knowledge of restaurant and bar management and a minimum of two years’ experience at restaurant supervisory level is essential. Knowledge of Micros would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
