Key Responsibilities

Our Demi/Chef de Partie will work alongside or under the leadership of the existing Chef de Parties, Sous Chefs and Head Chef within our Michelin starred kitchen. With excellent time management and communication skills, you will be in tune with other sections, delivering your element of a dish to produce food that is of Michelin star and 4 AA Rosette standard.

Desirable Candidate

Working with the finest seasonal and local produce you will have a passion for the finesse of Michelin star preparation and techniques. Our desirarble candidate demonstrates a passion in fine tuning their own cooking skills with future career progression in their sights. You will be an effective communicator with at least 1 years’ experience in working within a quality establishment or high volume kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Our Demi Chef de Partie will work under the leadership of the Chef de Partie within La Brasserie kitchen. You will be nurtured to develop your skills working on a variety of sections within a professional environment. With excellent time management and communication skills you will be in tune with other sections, delivering your element of a dish to produce food that is of 2 AA Rosette standard.

Key Responsibilities

We are searching for a passionate and dynamic Pastry Chef de Partie who is ready for a new challenge. You will deliver exceptional plate work, from 2 AA Rosette to Michelin star level. Working with the finest produce, you will lead a section and nurture talent competently and confidently. You will be multi-skilled and willing to master pastry and bakery techniques.

Desirable Candidate

Established within your craft as a Pastry Chef de Partie, you are enthusiastic, motivated to learn, inspired to teach others and eager to break the mould. Providing a range of quality desserts to both our restaurants you will have an eclectic knowledge base, ready to prove your creative flair. Level 2 Food Safety in Catering is preferable, however full training will be provided.


Key Responsibilities

As Bartender you will have flair, charisma and charm with the ability to provide the highest levels of service to our customers. The Bartender is responsible for providing an excellent level of service at all times. 

Desirable Candidate

You will be immaculately presented and well-spoken with a solid background working within high profile cocktail bars as the Bartender/Head Bartender. You will have a full and thorough knowledge of both classic and contemporary cocktails and wines.

Key Responsibilities

Expert communication skills are required within our In Room Dining Department. You will have the confidence to liaise directly with our in house guests and numerous departments to ensure precise and timely delivery of food and beverage orders. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively multitask along with delivering clarity, positivity, proactivity and consistent high levels of customer service.

Desirable Candidate

You will ensure the seamless running of In-Room Dining by providing a cheerful, confident and efficient service to our guests, with an observant eye for requirements and detail. We anticipate that you will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry or fine dining restaurant for a minimum of 12 months – 2 years. To have what it takes, you must be an enthusiastic individual who will remain calm under pressure and complement our existing proficient team in La Brasserie. You will have passion for giving exceptional service and ensure that the guest experience at The Chester Grosvenor is always 5 star.

Late Afternoon / Evening Shifts
Key Responsibilities

Full time and part time opportunities available. In the confident and efficient handling of orders and requests, you will partake in the seamless running of the 2 AA Rosette restaurant and delivery of a 5 Red Star service. Liaising with the kitchen and bar teams, you will be an expert in conveying menu information to our guests.

Desirable Candidate

The guest experience is at the forefront of your mind. You will be confident and engaging in conversation, whilst maintaining the upmost professionalism. You will be precise, organised and an effective communicator who thrives in a busy environment. Restaurant experience is preferable but full training will be given. 

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the La Brasserie team, the Host / Hostess will charismatically meet and greet all who enter our 2AA Rosette restaurant.  You will be responsible for administration tasks associated with bookings, menu planning and payments along with ensuring that a seamless service is delivered.  We are seeking a team player who can anticipate service requirements and assist the team with a variety of ad hoc duties when necessary.

Desirable Candidate

This is the perfect role for someone with a bright personality and who is highly organised yet thrives on variety within a busy and social environment.  You will be the eyes and ears of our team, always striving to connect with our guests, anticipate and correct gaps in service and act as a resourceful thinker.  Experience with ResDiary is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Part time opportunities are available for existing or aspiring Waiters, Waitresses and Bar Staff within our opulent meetings, events and private dining settings. Reporting to the Meetings and Events management team, you will assist in the set-up of events and delivery of food and beverage services to a high standard. Days and hours of work depend on the scheduling of events with the additional opportunity to work in other restaurants within the hotel.

Desirable Candidate

We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, immaculate personal presentation and a positive, outgoing personality. You'll be a terrific team player with a commitment to giving our guests a memorable experience. Previous experience would be helpful, however full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Rooms Operations Manager, the Night Manager will take responsibility for our night shift team, front office and duty management of our 5 Red Star hotel. Precision is required for auditing duties such as end of day reports, banking and statistics. You will maintain hotel safety and security as well as delivering high levels of customer care and hotel cleanliness. You will be trained to have excellent knowledge of front and back of house operations to provide an informed service to our guests. You will develop a close working relationship with all other departments. As a strong leader, you will effectively delegate tasks to the Assistant Night Manager, Night Porters and Night Cleaners.

Desirable Candidate

Being courteous yet confidently driven is part of your nature. As a manager you will be required to train, motivate, nurture and provide feedback to the night team to ensure that tasks are achieved in a timely manner. You will have a minimum of 2 year’s supervisory experience within a quality establishment. Experience with IT maintenance and Opera systems is advantageous. We are searching for a pro-active thinker who will actively maintain the best interests of our building, guests and staff.

With 80 elegant bedrooms and suites, Michelin-starred restaurant, vibrant Parisian-style La Brasserie, boutique spa and extensive meetings and event space, The Chester Grosvenor is an exciting and rewarding place to be!

We’re looking to appoint a Night Porter to work 32 hours per week within our friendly nights team in taking care of the hotel and its guests throughout the twilight hours.

About Team Grosvenor

You’ll join a lively, talented and hardworking team who deliver thoughtful and supremely professional service. As part of the Front of House “face” of the hotel you’ll help to make every guest’s stay as happy and memorable as possible.

We’re looking for a “people person” with a great personality who will complement the Nights team in continuing our warm and efficient service throughout the night. You’ll have good communication skills in engaging with our guests, especially those arriving late or departing at dawn, recognizing where swift service and additional assistance may be required. Security is a main focus during the night, therefore you’ll be vigilant and conscientious, a strong and reliable member of the team.


Desirable Candidate

Our award winning team is growing and we are looking for a Learning & Development Administrator to join the team Grosvenor, based in the heart of the beautiful and historic city of Chester.

Your responsibilities will be inclusive of but not exhaustive of;

·Issuing accurate offer letters and contracts to new starters and leaver documentation.

·Recruitment; creating job adverts, sifting candidates, sourcing references, supporting and enabling the interview process.

·Employee engagement is imperative to Team Grosvenor. You will assist with the coordination of staff committee meetings, organisation of awards events, employee of the month, national and local award entries, celebratory afternoon teas to name a few.

·Health and Safety and Risk assessment documentation coordination.

·Add value to the benefits for our team by working with local suppliers and stores to negotiate discounts for all to take advantage of.

·Work with L&D team to analyse, design and deliver training material to support all learning involvements including induction, behavioural, project and training requirements.

·Being on brand is vital, so the coordination of uniform stocks with suppliers will enable the team to have the correct attire at all times.

·Build upon the key relationships with external training providers, facilitators and suppliers working with Team Grosvenor.

·To assist the L&D team in the implementation of blended learning solutions across all departments.

·To ensure PDP appraisals are collated, analysed and appropriate training solutions identified and progressed.

·To provide coaching and feedback to ensure support and guidance is provided when a need is identified across business to peers and senior managers.

·Advocate and deliver brand values, polices and process to all within Team Grosvenor.

Essential Skills:

·Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude

·Be computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft products e.g. Excel, Power Point, Fourth hospitality etc.

·Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and ability to use own initiative

·Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent presentation skills

·Strong influencing skills with the ability to build relationships with staff and management at all levels, gaining credibility across the business

·Part qualified CIPD - or hold a similar training qualification

·Experience within hospitality and or learning and development advantageous
